City College of New York

Did you know that in 1847, the Free Academy was established to provide free education to NYC’s working class population? The Free Academy was what we know today as The City College of New York (CCNY)! One hundred seventy-three years later the CUNY mission stands strong and relevant to our own students. STEM RA students at the CCNY campus are exposed to a beautiful campus, state of the art research facilities, as well as outstanding and award winning research faculty mentors. Students explore research content areas that include, but are not limited to cognitive psychology, signal transference underwater and exploring invasive microorganism environmental impacts.
