VISIT GUIDES

Visit Guides are CUNY students that are responsible for leading groups of middle school students through interactive and age-appropriate visits at one of the participating CUNY campuses.

College students that participate in the program get a chance to develop and hone professional skills that are applicable to other forms of employment.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESOURCES

CUNY Explorers collaborates with various community-based organizations and programs to bring valuable training to our campus staff.

Some of our training topics include:

  • Managing Positive Behavior
  • Career Readiness
  • Communication
  • Financial Literacy
  • Public Speaking
  • Time Management

CAMPUS COORDINATOR

Campus Coordinators support the development, implementation and oversight of CUNY Explorers at the campus.  They help middle schools schedule a visit and supervise and train the visit guides.
