Our Impact
Participation and Outcomes
College Now students share with College Now program staff informally or through surveys how much they learned by participating in the program, and how better prepared they feel for college as a result. Many form lasting bonds with each other and with the College Now staff and often return as college students to volunteer, work, mentor high school students in the program, or just to say, “Hi!”
In addition to anecdotal evidence in which students describe the program as helpful, life-changing, and eye-opening, research evidence from a College Now program evaluation shows that the program does help improve post-secondary attainment and reduce time to degree. College Now alumni not only earn 3 to 15 college credits before entering college, but also take more courses once enrolled in college, and have higher GPAs than their peers without College Now experience.
